In this tour it’s possible to combine the exploration of “Mamma Etna” and visit Acicastello and Acitrezza villages. The first part of the tour will focus on eplorating Etna, admiring ancient craters, volcanic caves and many other interesting elements that make Etna one of the most particular volcanos in the world.
The second part of excursion, will make you understand the connection between the volcano and these villages in which you can admire the typical “”lava pillows”” , the Ancient Norman Castle located in Acicastello and the famous Acitrezza stacks famous in the legend of Polyphemus. Moreover, Acitrezza was made well-known by the short story “”I Malavoglia”” written by the famous italian writer Giovanni Verga “”.
During the tour a naturalistic guide will explain you all the secrets about the highest volcano in Europe.
